July events in Verbier
For the bold, the cultured, and the curious.
July is Verbier's most dynamic month. It opens with Enduro 2 (4–7 July), a three-day two-person mountain biking race across Verbier, La Tzoumaz, and Bruson, designed around teamwork and pure mountain fun rather than podium glory. Then the Trail Verbier St Bernard by UTMB (10–12 July) brings Switzerland's original ultra trail event to the slopes, with races from 28km to a breathtaking 140km X-Alpine route via the Grand Saint-Bernard pass.
The month closes with the jewel in Verbier's cultural crown: the Verbier Festival (16 July–2 August). Now in its fourth decade, this world-renowned classical music festival draws legends like Martha Argerich, Bryn Terfel, Anoushka Shankar, alongside the rising stars of tomorrow. Intimate recitals, open-air performances, and masterclasses make for an extraordinary few weeks in the mountains.

August events in Verbier
The mountain at its most alive.
August is Verbier at full volume. Swiss National Day (1 August) brings fireworks, lantern-lit streets, and a real sense of local celebration. The Verbier Bike Festival (13–16 August) follows: four days of trail riding, e-bike testing, guided tours, and family-friendly adventure for cyclists of all abilities.
For those who like their music with a side of melted cheese, the Rocklette (8–16 August) and Electroclette (22–23 August) festivals deliver rock and techno across mountain venues, with raclette and views of the Grand Combin thrown in for good measure. Round the month off with the legendary Grand Raid BCVs (22 August), a mountain bike marathon from Verbier to Grimentz, cresting 2,700m at the Pas de Lona, or take on the Tour des Stations (29 August), a cycling endurance challenge with six route options ranging from 74km to a formidable 1,000km.

September events in Verbier
The glory of early autumn.
September brings a golden quality to the light and a more relaxed pace to the village. Golf lovers won't want to miss the Omega European Masters (3–6 September) at Crans-sur-Sierre -one of the most spectacular courses on the European Tour, with the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc as its backdrop, just over an hour from Verbier by train. The Spartan Race (5–6 September) offers a different kind of challenge, with obstacles, grit, and the mountains as your arena, plus distances to suit every level. And the month closes beautifully with the Bagnes Raclette Festival (20–21 September) in Le Chable, a celebration of local produce, wine and community that has drawn over 15,000 visitors for more than two decades.
