Verbier is the perfect summer setting

Verbier's summer calendar

Originally, Verbier was only really considered a winter destination. Now the resort has an amazing summer events calendar too.

Summer Events

Solaris Music Festival (26-28 June)
A little brother to the hugely popular winter music festival. This series of weekend events features electronic music artists and DJs. And all with beautiful views from Chalet d’Adrien.

Enduro 2 (4-7 July)
A two-person team mountain biking race across Verbier, La Tzoumaz, and Bruson, using ski lifts to cover 10,000 metres of elevation over three days. Only downhill sections are timed, and teammates must stay together, emphasizing fun, teamwork, and sportsmanship over competition.

Trail Verbier St Bernard by UTMB (10-12 July)
Launched in 2009, this is Switzerland’s first ultra trail event, offering four races from 28km to 140km in the Swiss Alps, catering to a variety of abilities. The 140km X-Alpine route loops from Verbier to the Grand Saint-Bernard pass through several valleys, while shorter courses highlight scenic sections, including panoramic views of Mont Blanc and the Combins.

Verbier Festival  (16 July–2 August)
This two week festival is, without doubt, the highlight of Verbier’s summer events calendar.  Although it attracts star performers such as  Martha Argerich,  Bryn Terfel,  Julian Lloyd Webber and Anoushka Shankar it is also an opportunity to see rising talent. The Academy offers master classes taught by international stars as well as a broad range of workshops. Whether you prefer open air concerts or intimate recitals, the festival has something for every classical music lover.

Swiss National Day  (1 August)
1 August is Swiss National Day. Verbier celebrates this national holiday with a concert and fireworks. Children carrying lighted paper lanterns roam the streets at night.  And bakers produce special bread rolls with a small Swiss flag on top.

Bike Festival  (13-16 August)
Aa four-day cycling event held in the Swiss Alps that brings together riders of all abilities for a mix of outdoor adventure, bike testing, and entertainment. It offers the chance to try hundreds of the latest bikes (including mountain and e-bikes) on extensive scenic trails, take part in guided tours, races, challenges and family-friendly activities.

Rocklette Music and Cheese Festival (8-16 August)
This series of rock concerts takes place in the middle of August.  Venues are in various mountain locations around Verbier and the Val de Bagnes.

Grand Raid BCVs (22 August)
This Swiss mountain bike race has been thrilling bikers since 1990. This marathon will take you from Verbier to Grimentz, culminating in the Pas de Lona, at over 2,700m. There is also an e-bike category!

Electroclette Music and Cheese Festival (22-23 August)
Electronic music meets raclette!  A weekend of cheese, techno headliners and a dancefloor with views of the Grand Combin.

Tour des Stations (29 August)
This cycling event is for those seeking a sporting endurance challenge. The routes start in Le Chable and end at the summit of Croix-de-Coeur, linking exceptional Swiss resorts along the way; offering breath taking backdrops. Entrants can choose between 6 routes (varying from 74km to up to 1,000km with 26,000m elevation gain), challenging everyone from the less experienced to the cycling enthusiasts.

Omega European Masters Golf  (3-6 September)
The Crans-sur-Sierre golf club is without doubt the most spectacular course on the European Tour schedule. Overlooking the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc, the views are breathtaking. Although the club hibernates during the winter months, it comes alive in the summer. Most notably, at the end of August it hosts the Omega European Masters. You can get the train from Le Chable, Verbier to Sierre in just over an hour, from Sierre it’s a short bus journey up to Crans-Montana. Alternatively, you can hire a car or we can organise a transfer for you, which will take 1 hour 15 mins.

Spartan (5-6 September)
Choose between 5k, 10k or 21k and with up to 30 obstacles (or a 1-3k for children), this endurance race can take between 1 hour 30mins to 5 hours for the beast race (21k). Spartan is all about pushing your limits. A challenge and amazing experince for all competitors and great fun for the supporters!

Bagnes Raclette Cheese Festival (20-21 September)
Celebrating its 21st Anniversary in 2025, this event attracts over 15,000 foodies to the village of Le Chable. As well as cheese and raclette from local dairies, visitors are invited to sample other local produce such as meat and wine.

"The combination of music and mountains is magical. I shall long cherish the memory of sipping champagne in the fresh mountain air during an intermission basking in the afterglow of Bryn Terfel's exuberant performance of Don Giovanni and watching the sun set over snow-clad peaks of the Combin massif."
