What to do in Verbier in Summer
1. Foraged to Fork
Summer in Verbier smells of new grass and warm pine.
Begin the day with a yoga session on the chalet terrace, guided by one of our trusted local instructors. As the sun rises over the peaks, the valley below slowly comes to life.
Foraging has long been part of alpine cooking. Depending on the month, baskets fill with wild garlic, sorrel, berries or mushrooms. For this experience, when your private chef heads out into the mountains, you are invited to join them.
Bring the day’s harvest home to rustic Chalet Nyumba, perched high above the village with a beautiful swimming pool that benefits from the view. With your chef’s guidance, herbs infuse cocktails, berries appear in desserts and wild garlic simmers into sauces.
2. On Two Wheels
Verbier belongs to cyclists in summer.
E-bikes make the climbs effortless, while rewarding downhill trails zigzag down through forests and pastures. We recommend beginning the day with a private guide arranged by our concierge team, before exploring further at your own pace.
One of our favourite routes leads to La Marlenaz, a mountain restaurant at 1,890 metres. The ride up is worth it for an authentic Swiss lunch with spectacular views.
Chalet Pierre Avoi is perfect for a restorative evening. Its panoramic terrace with hot tub and fire pit becomes the natural gathering place as the sun dips behind the peaks.
3. Verbier From Above
To truly appreciate Verbier, we always say you must see it from altitude.
Begin at Mont Fort for sunrise, where the first light paints the peaks gold. From here, the adventure continues to the Gentianes via ferrata, where steel cables and ladders guide climbers along dramatic rock faces at more than 3,000 metres.
Lunch at panoramic Le Dahu feels well earned. Afterwards, a gentle walk back towards Les Ruinettes allows the adrenaline to settle before one final ascent, this time into the sky. As you paraglide into the valley’s warm thermal currents, take in the landscape from a birds-eye perspective.
Back on solid ground, Chalet Rock offers the perfect place to unwind. Sink into the bubbling outdoor hot tub while watching the last gliders circle back towards the valley floor.
4. Peak to Peak
Summer mornings arrive gently in Verbier. Beyond the chalet doors the mountains feel impossibly close, the air still cool and full of birdsong.
For those keen to explore further afield, the Matterhorn is within reach. A private helicopter whisks you towards Zermatt, skimming ridgelines and circling the iconic peak. You can even click into skis for a summer glide on the glacier, one of the few places in Europe where snow lingers year-round.
Renowned for its gastronomy, your lunch in Zermatt unfolds on a sun-drenched terrace. By late afternoon, you’ll be back in Verbier. Head home to Chalet Daphne, a perfectly placed base in the very heart of Verbier, and share stories of your adventures.
