1. Quick and easy to travel to Verbier
Only 1 hour 45 minutes from Geneva Airport, you can avoid the hassle of public transport by arranging a private transfer with our complimentary in-house concierge team. Bern and Milan airports are also within a three-hour drive, and the smaller airport Sion is only a 40-minute drive away.
2. Verbier itself
Renowned for its quintessentially Swiss chocolate box feel, Verbier perfectly celebrates its rich heritage and true skiing roots with its cosmopolitan array of bars, shops, and restaurants. It is one of the only resorts in the world where A-list celebrities, royalty, and backcountry skiers can rub shoulders in the same place, safe in the knowledge that everyone in Verbier is simply there to enjoy the mountain, no matter who you are.
3. The Skiing
Arguably, it has the most lift-accessible off-piste skiing in the Alps, yet it still offers a vast amount of piste skiing for beginners and intermediates. Les 4 Vallees is known for its extensive, varied piste network with 410km of pistes and marked off-piste itinerary routes for the more knowledgeable skiers.
4. The Rich History
Verbier has a rich history and heritage combined with an exclusive high-end feel. You can include the glitz and glam if you want to, or enjoy it as a pure skier’s resort! Skiing was first attempted in Verbier in 1925 when a group of keen mountaineers hiked up among cows and herdsmen with the sole purpose of skiing back down. The first lift system was later installed in 1946, the ski boom of the 60’s put Verbier well and truly on the map and well the rest is history!
5. The Apres Ski & Restaurants
it is no secret that the Apres ski scene in Verbier is legendary. Some of our guests relish the opportunity to enjoy one ski run, a long, lazy lunch in the sun that continues into Apres ski, a lavish dinner, and an early night. All to be repeated the next day. Starting 'at the top': On the mountain, sample the highest Swiss fondue in Europe from the summit of the Mont-Fort, situated at 3,330 m, making our way further down the mountain to Les Ruinettes, is Mouton Noir – where you can enjoy a beanbag seat with a glass of champagne accompanied by stunning panoramic views and excellent DJs before skiing down to start your Apres Ski at Le Rouge or Pub Mont Fort where one of our drivers can meet you with your sunglasses and comfy shoes, so you can enjoy the sunset drinks and dancing before making your way further into the village to dance the night away with the live bands at Le Farinet’s renowned apres ski bar, then keeping heading south down to the fun underground sports bar/nightclub, Farinet South.
Alternatively, a real trip to Verbier wouldn’t be complete without a visit to one of Verbier’s longest-established institutions, The Farm Club. Founded in 1971, a drink and a dance on this famous ‘stage’ is something to add to your Verbier bucket list!
If you’re convinced that Verbier is the resort for you, our sales team would be delighted to help you find a chalet for your next holiday.
